Forms of Literature

Forms of Literature: spoken, written, visual

It is difficult to find out what was the first form in which literature was produced. In ancient times, literature was in pictorial form. They used to crave the cave and form signs that carry information. There are three forms of literature:

1. Written

2. Spoken

3. Visual

The spoken form is an essential part of literature. Everything is first expressed orally and then written. Similarly, poetry in the past was initially produced orally and this type of poetry is called "oral poetry". Epic poems in Old English were initially produced orally in earlier times and were later transformed into written form. Today, print and audio media are replacing this trend.

Most of the literature nowadays is in written form. The written form is the old form of writing. Literature was written in an attempt to preserve it in earlier times. This is the origin when people start writing literary texts or pieces on paper. Now novel, poetry, film, theater, etc. everything is available in written form.

The literary work was also in visual form. In Shakespeare's day, performing plays on stage means that this tradition of performing on stage to show visual illustration is old. This form existed in primitive times and was highly realized. In the modern age, with the invention of print and radio and television media, its popularity increases. Now everyone can get close very easily. Alternatively, we can say that it is now the most challenging form. People prefer the visual form to writing. Currently, all of these forms of literature come in one genre which is drama. In the play one can see the union of all three forms. Since the play is in written form, it is performed orally and can be viewed visually.
